Update - as of today I have ridden/run 222km in support of rural aid :)
Rides and runs were juggled between work, family, gale force winds, dust storms, rescuing lambs, dodging territorial magpies. It wasn't necessarily easy, but definitely worth while. Thankyou to everyone who has donated/encouraged us, and it is not too late to support our clinic team raise funds for rural aid, every little bit helps :)
Hi there!
I'm riding from Beach 2 Bush this September in support of Rural Aid's mental health initiative for our farmers!
I will be virtually riding and running from Coffs Harbour Beach to Uralla Vet Clinic, a distance of 214 km kilometers, to raise urgently needed funds for this worthwhile cause.
Australia is in its 8th year of harsh drought. With rural communities often being up to hundreds of kilometers away from the closest mental health service, our farmers can feel isolated, lonely, and depressed. Rural Aid aims to bridge the gap between rural communities and health services by employing counsellors in regions affected by drought to visit the homes of farmers and their families.
As a farmer and a vet in a severely drought affected community this is a cause that's close to my heart, so I would appreciate any contribution, big or small.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to Rural Aid.

Rural Aid Ltd
Rural Aid supports farmers and rural communities in times of natural disaster such as flood, fire and drought. In addition, Rural Aid focusses on supporting the sustainability of regional and farming communities. Our disaster relief program includes the nationally recognised Buy a Bale campaign and delivers hay, water, and financial assistance for farmers across Australia. Our Counselling program employs nationally registered counsellors, who live within their communities, to offer emotional and practical support to farmers and their families. We also provide volunteer support to rural towns, through our Community Support program. Volunteers and tradespeople visit remote and rural areas to help fix infrastructure that farmers do not have the skill, time or money to do themselves.
